An initial dose of Stabilizer is required in fresh pool water to maintain a clear pool throughout the summer. Stabilizer is an essential chemical in protecting chlorine from evaporating due to the sun’s UV rays – think of Stabilizer as “sunscreen” for chlorine! Stabilizer should be balanced between 20 – 30 ppm for the best efficiency between your chlorine sanitization and protection from the sun.
These granules are perfect for pools equipped with sand filters, just slowly pour down the skimmer. Do not backwash for 24 hours to allow for the granules to dissolve into the water.
With pump in operation, simply add through the skimmer. If pool is not equipped with a skimmer, mix thoroughly in a plastic pail with water and pour the mixture into the deep end of the pool. Ensure no granules settle. 850g of Stabilizer will leave a residual of 20 ppm in a 50,000L pool.
