Aqua-Guard Stabilizer protects your chlorine against the ultraviolet rays of the sun by reducing the decomposition speed of your chlorine, helping to lower chlorine demand and keeping your pool clear for longer.
Stabilizer should be added at the start of the season or when the pool is freshly filled. Add the stabilizer through the pool skimmer and do not backwash the filter for 48 hours after adding stabilizer. If the pool is not equipped with a sand filter or skimmer, add to a pail of water and stir vigorously until dissolved, then add into the deep end of the pool and ensure no granules settle.
Pools that do not have a sand filter are recommended to use Stabilizer Pucks or Liquid Stabilizer.
1 kg of Aqua-Guard Stabilizer will effectively treat 50,000 L and leave a residual of 20 ppm.
