Proper pH Balance is an essential part of pool maintenance. The recommended range is between 7.2 – 7.6. If the pH of your pool is low (below 7.2), the water will be acidic. Discomfort from skin and eye irritation could develop. This condition also causes the chlorine to become unstable, and therefore less effective in killing bacteria, algae and disintegrating organic matter.
Directions:Â One capful of pH Up holds approximately 30 g. When test readings indicate a pH below 7.2, add pH Up by broadcasting it across the pool surface according to the table below:
pH Up is readily soluble in water. Wait four hours before retesting pH to determine if pH is within recommended range. Repeat if necessary.
